So, you’re wondering how long counseling sessions last? At Guy Stuff our counseling sessions last for for either 45 or 90 minutes. It's your choice which counseling session length you choose. The cost of counseling varies based on the length of the session. You can find out more about our fees here.

Meetings of 45 minutes are the traditional length of counseling sessions. We also offer a 90 minute double counseling session ('2 Meetings in 1') for those who want to get quicker results or are coming to counseling as a couple. This longer meeting is a popular option to help maximize the time you spend in counseling.

If you live in Northern California, we can meet in person. We also offer counseling via phone sessions or video conferencing. Both the 45- and 90-minute session options are available regardless of which method you choose by which to get counseling.

If you're asking how long do counseling sessions last and you've never been to counseling before, 45 or even 90 minutes may seem like a really long time. You'll be surprised how fast the time goes by. Typically people are surprised by how quickly the counseling sessions end and wish they had more time to talk, ask questions, and get feedback. This is one of the reasons we offer the longer 90-minute session as an option. Whichever option you choose, we will use our time together efficiently and effectively to help you achieve the results you are looking for.

Most of our clients schedule regular weekly or bi-weekly appointments. This consistent schedule enables you to make measurable progress in managing the issues for which you have come to counseling. During your first few sessions, we can discuss the approximate length of time you can expect to continue in counseling based on the goals you have for our time together.
